About This Project

BR2 Architecture, in association with KZA of Whitehorse, have developed a new venue to host the 2007 Canada Winter Games, as well as provide for the recreational needs to the community.

 

The Multiplex is built adjacent to an existing aquatics centre and includes:

• 900-seat (300 permanent, 600 temporary) Olympic-size ice arena
• 300-seat NHL-size ice arena
• 2 indoor soccer fields, 250 seats each
• 3-lane indoor running track
• Child play areas
• 500 sq. m. fitness facility
•  Multipurpose and meeting rooms
• 200-seat family lounge
•  Space for a future climbing wall
